Word on Wednesday: Mike Ovey on Faithful Teachers in an Age of Confusion
Posted by Sophia Akouo, 13 Jul 2016
Mike Ovey's talk from this year's Church Society conference, on the major threats to the truth of the gospel in the Church of England today.
Mike Ovey is the Principal of Oak Hill Theological College, London and a member of the Church Society Council. At this year’s Church Society Conference (“Be Faithful: Remaining Steadfast in the Church of England Today”) he gave a wonderfully clear and challenging talk on the subject of how to be faithful teachers in an age of confusion.
It is about an hour long, with Q & A afterwards. So why not settle down with a cuppa and give it a listen. See if you agree with him about what the major challenges are to the Church of England flourishing today, and on his prescription for how we can remain clear and steadfast in the face of them.
You can also listen to Martyn Cowan’s talk from the same conference, on The Prophetic Preaching of John Owen.
Sophia Akouo is an ordinary Anglican churchgoer who enjoys listening to good talks.
