Subscriptions, renewals and donations
To become a member of Church Society please download the application form below and return to the office either by post or you can email a scan of the form to us.
The annual subscription rate is £42, or £24 if you are retired or unemployed. Anglican ordinands studying in the UK receive membership and Churchman subscription for just £30. Spouses can subscribe for an additional £10.
Members receive our mailings and our quarterly magazine Crossway, and are also eligible for reduced rates on our Churchman journal. Download the membership form here.
You can choose whether to become a full member or an associate member. Full members are those who are members of the Church of England or a Church in communion with the Church of England, have been confirmed in the Church of England, and agree to uphold the Doctrine set out in the Thirty-nine Articles. Members have the right to vote at the AGM. Associate members are those who are sympathetic with the aims of the Society but typically would not belong to the Church of England. Associate members receive the benefits of full members but cannot vote at the AGM.
In accordance with UK company law, full members have a limited liability of £1, the right to attend and vote at our General Meetings, and are eligible to stand for election to our Council. Members are sent a copy of our audited accounts (which are also posted on the website).
Download the membership form here. Existing members do not need to complete the declaration when renewing.
If you decide to pay by standing order, please could you post the membership form to us, as we need the original copy of the standing order to send to the bank. You can also pay via cheque or
pay online here. Or else download our standing order and Gift Aid form. If you are a UK tax payer we are able to reclaim tax on donations and subscriptions to the Society (but not to Churchman).
