Word on Wednesday: Mark Pickles on Faithful Stewards in a Fickle World
Posted by Sophia Akouo, 27 Jul 2016
Mark Pickles' talk from the Church Society Conference, on how we can be equipped to withstand the pressures upon us in today's church and world.
Mark Pickles, Director of Anglican Ministry Training at Oak Hill College in London gave a great talk at this year’s Church Society Conference. The conference itself was called “Be Faithful” Remaining Steadfast in the Church of England Today”, and Mark’s talk in particular focused on how we can be faithful as stewards of the church and of the truth in a fickle world.
So grab a coffee and a biscuit for an edifying hour on how we can foster resilience and reliability in ourselves and those we serve. Do you agree with Mark about our obligations as faithful stewards when it comes to remaining in the Church of England?
You can also listen to Mike Ovey’s talk on being “Faithful Teachers in an Age of Confusion.”
Sophia Akouo is an ordinary Anglican churchgoer who enjoys listening to good talks.
