On Saturdays we're highlighting great sermons that you might have missed. Please do get in touch if you've heard a sermon you'd like to recommend for the blog!

Stephen Walton preaches on Romans 7:1-13 at Christ Church, Düsseldorf, a Church Society parish in the Diocese of Europe.

Stephen carefully explains how this passage describes the ongoing struggle of the Christian with sin. The ‘enemy within’ can’t be controlled by the law, only by the power of the Holy Spirit within is. This sermon will warm the heart of any Christian conscious of their own battle with indwelling sin. Romans 7 doesn’t offer a counsel of despair, nor an easy fix, but shows us how we have the tools to keep fighting the battle to the very end.

Don’t be fooled by the website, by the way, this sermon doesn’t cover chapters 7-13 of Romans, only 7:1-13!

Listen here on the Christ Church website.
