Saturday sermon: Malachi 3:13-4:6
Posted by Ros Clarke, 30 Sep 2017
Malcolm Peters challenges us to keep loving and serving God in the light of Jesus's return in this sermon from the Church Society parish of High Ongar.
Doubting God’s love and justice is the way towards wickedness. Even in the face of suffering and injustice, we need to trust that God has a reason for delaying his justice and demonstrating his love. The Lord’s true children will fear his name and remember his word. We’ll live in the knowledge that the day of judgment AND salvation is coming and therefore keep persevering in our faith.
One for anyone wondering whether they’re wasting their time, wasting their lives following Jesus. When we’re taking up our cross to live for him, we need to remember it’s worth it.
