Lee Gatiss talks through the Lectionary readings for the fifth Sunday after Trinity (Year C), which are 2 Kings 2:1-14, Galatians 5:1-25, and Luke 9:51-62.

Each of the readings in this week’s Lectionary concerns a transition. The readings can be found here.

As previously mentioned, this is part of our new weekly effort to expound the three main Lectionary readings for each Sunday. It is not, however, a copy of my weekly column in the Church of England Newspaper, which is working through the continuous expository series permitted by the Lectionary (currently in the midst of a 6 week series in Galatians).
