JAEC 2017: Reforming and Renewing the Church
Posted by Ros Clarke, 12 May 2017
Bookings for the 2017 Junior Anglican Evangelical Conference are now open!
In the 500th year since the Reformation began, we will be considering reformation and renewal in the Church of England, past and future. How can we learn from the reformations of the past? How do we guard our Reformed heritage? And how will the church need to keep reforming and renewing in the future, in order to reach the nation with the good news of Christ?
Join us for three days in August to learn from Bishop Andrew Watson, Simon Vibert, Mike Reeves, Paul Harcourt and many great speakers. During the conference there will also be time to meet in small groups, to join together for Morning Prayer, and even to relax and and enjoy yourself.
JAEC aims to help us be more effective as Anglican Evangelicals, making the most of every opportunity to reach the lost for Jesus, build up the church through his word, and send workers into God’s harvest field. If you or your spouse are in Anglican ministry, lay or ordained, and at any stage from exploring ministry through to a first incumbency, you are invited to join us at JAEC this summer. Seminars on Getting Through a BAP, Making the Most of College and Curacy, and From Curacy to Incumbency will offer invaluable experience and wisdom for those at different stages of ministry. Others on Establishment and Reforming Perceptions will be of interest to anyone. Lindsay Benn, wife of Wallace, will lead a seminar especially for spouses of those in ministry, talking about Pressure Points in the Parish.
