Crossway: Bible, Bible, Bible!
Posted by Ros Clarke, 21 Dec 2017
The latest edition of Crossway focusses on William Tyndale and his passionate commitment to enabling ordinary people to read, understand and respond in faith to the Scriptures.
In this packed edition of Crossway, Lee Gatiss introduces the work of William Tyndale, who devoted his life to Bible translation - and lost his life because of it. Tim Thornborough explains the ongoing challenges of translation work, not just Bibles but good quality Christian literature, around the world. Sophie Bannister gives some helpful advice on daily Bible reading, while John Truscott has top tips for preparing to read the Bible in church. We have the first of my two-part series on women’s Bible teaching ministry, and Amanda Robbie gives her wisdom on how to run a Sunday school in a small church.
I hope you will find it edifying reading, perhaps to savour with a mince pie and a glass of mulled wine over the Christmas break.
Additional copies of Crossway can be purchased online or by contacting the Church Society office. If you’d like to subscribe to Crossway, you can do so here, or by becoming a Church Society member.
