Amanda Robbie on the proposed merger

Posted by Amanda Robbie, 5 Mar 2018

Amanda Robbie, a lay member of Church Society Council, and on the Church of England Evangelical Council, speaks about the proposed merger of Church Society with Reform and the Fellowship of Word and Spirit.

Hi, I’m Amanda Robbie. I’m a member of the Church Society council, have been for a couple of years now and I’m really excited about this proposed merger with Reform and Fellowship of Word and Spirit because it’ll be just terrific to see conservative evangelicals working completely closely together. Our three organisations have been working together on various projects and activities and I think it’ll be wonderful to have everybody under the same banner.

Church Society has grown a great ministry, particularly recently online, and with other resources for churches - the podcast I’m involved with, you might have heard me talking about books with Ros Clarke. Lee on the Lectionary is another great resource we have. I think to bring those resources to the wider constituency will be great for Church Society. And it’ll be great to have the skills and attributes of Reform and Fellowship of Word and Spirit in terms of campaigning and running conferences in the same pot so that we can work together more effectively for the good of England and the glory of God.

If you’d like to be part of this new organisation, click here for the membership form.

Amanda Robbie is a vicar's wife, a lay member of Church Society Council, and on the Church of England Evangelical Council.
